Developed by Yuanlv Holding’s core R&D team led by Academician Wang, Yuankong’s technology is a physical energy storage solution centered on five-degree-of-freedom (5-DOF) maglev bearings and integrated high-speed permanent magnet motors. It operates via a vacuum-enclosed rotor spinning at high speed to convert electrical energy into kinetic energy and vice versa, with no chemical reactions—fundamentally different from electrochemical storage. The technology has won the National Technological Invention First Prize and features fully independent, controllable intellectual property.
Unlike traditional flywheels that rely on mechanical bearings, it uses non-contact maglev bearings to eliminate friction and wear. Combined with a vacuum chamber, it minimizes energy loss, achieving over 93% efficiency even under frequent cycling.
The system responds in milliseconds to grid frequency fluctuations, enabling a shift from coarse to precise regulation to meet primary frequency stabilization needs.
Upon completion, the 100 MW power station will apply for recognition as an “Anhui Provincial First Set” major technical equipment, serving as a regional frequency regulation model安徽省人民政府.
The manufacturing base will create a full industrial chain covering R&D, assembly, operation, and maintenance, focusing on ultra-fast charging stations and distribution network storage.
