On April 27, Yuanlv (Beijing) Holding Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Anhui Yizeng Power New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. at Yizeng Industrial Park. Centering on the in-depth integration of maglev flywheel energy storage and electrochemical energy storage, the two sides will carry out all-round cooperation in distribution network energy storage, ultra-fast charging stations, grid-side hybrid energy storage power stations, emergency energy supply and other fields.

Wang Yongming, Chairman of Yuanlv Holding Group together with senior management, Xu Yulin, Chairman of Anhui Yizeng, and Chief Scientist Wang Xiangliang attended the signing ceremony.
Yuanlv Holding Group is deeply engaged in the physical energy storage sector and owns the core brand Yuankong Energy Storage & Charging. Its maglev flywheel energy storage technology is derived from dual-purpose flywheel systems for satellite attitude control and energy storage. It has been awarded the First Prize of National Technological Invention and holds seven national invention patents.
Its core technical strengths are as follows:
Charge-discharge response time is less than 10 milliseconds, enabling instant response to grid frequency fluctuations;
It achieves tens of millions of charge-discharge cycles with a design lifespan of over 20 years and zero rated capacity attenuation throughout the whole service life;
It features inherent safety with no thermal runaway risks and zero environmental pollution.
Anhui Yizeng boasts distinctive safe technology advantages in electrochemical energy storage. Its water-spray fire protection energy storage system integrates advanced battery early warning systems and active fire suppression technologies, which can realize early risk alert before thermal runaway occurs and activate rapid fire extinguishing in abnormal conditions. Meanwhile, the company has accumulated rich experience in energy storage system integration and delivery of major domestic and overseas projects.
The technical foundation for this cooperation lies in the complementarity between the inherent safety of flywheel energy storage and the active safety technology of electrochemical energy storage. Flywheel systems undertake high-frequency and short-duration power regulation, while electrochemical systems are responsible for long-duration energy storage, forming dual-layer safety guarantee. The collaboration between power-type and energy-type energy storage can effectively improve the frequency regulation accuracy, response speed and overall operational reliability of the integrated system.
Deployed on the low-voltage side of distribution network transformers, Yuankong maglev flywheel energy storage systems serve as power buffer pools. When surplus power generated by distributed photovoltaics causes reverse power overload, flywheels absorb excess electricity to prevent voltage surge. During peak power consumption, they release power to ease overload pressure and delay transformer capacity expansion.
Its millisecond-level response stabilizes load fluctuations and terminal grid voltage in real time. The zero-decay performance fits the over-20-year service life of distribution networks, and its ultra-long cycle life perfectly matches the daily frequent regulation demands of community power grids.
New energy vehicle ultra-fast charging piles deliver instantaneous power up to hundreds of kilowatts, bringing severe impact on distribution grids. Traditional transformer expansion solutions involve high investment and long construction cycles. By adopting the slow-charge and fast-discharge mode, flywheel energy storage stores grid power during off-peak hours and releases power to support peak charging demand, satisfying ultra-fast charging needs without transformer expansion. Electrochemical energy storage provides longer-duration peak shaving and valley filling capacity. Their combination improves operational efficiency of charging stations and cuts grid connection costs. In addition, the early warning and fire protection system of electrochemical energy storage provides extra safety guarantee for crowded charging venues.
With the continuous growth of installed renewable energy capacity, the power grid sees surging demand for auxiliary services such as frequency regulation and peak shaving. Flywheel energy storage is well-suited for primary and secondary frequency regulation, while electrochemical energy storage excels in energy time shift and peak-valley arbitrage. The jointly-built hybrid energy storage power stations will integrate the strengths of both technologies, realizing intelligent power distribution and coordinated operation via smart energy management systems. The safety early warning and fire protection technology of electrochemical energy storage ensures long-term stable operation of large-scale power stations.

This cooperation marks the practical integration of physical and electrochemical energy storage technologies in commercial applications. Leveraging Yuanlv Holding’s technological reserves and industrialization capacity in maglev flywheel energy storage, as well as Anhui Yizeng’s expertise in electrochemical system integration, safety technology and project delivery, both parties will jointly develop standardized and replicable hybrid energy storage solutions.
Both sides agreed to accelerate project implementation in distribution network energy storage, ultra-fast charging stations, large-scale grid-side hybrid energy storage stations and emergency energy supply fields. They will verify technical synergies via demonstration projects and gradually expand application scenarios. The signing officially moves bilateral relations from technical exchanges to substantial cooperation, laying a solid foundation for future project development, joint product R&D and market expansion.
